Finally an update!

Since school started, Ryan and I have settled into our work routines and really not much has been going on.  I feel kind of boring, but we rarely go out and on weekends I am usually so exhausted that I spend my time trying to catch up on some sleep.

Maya started sitting up a few weeks ago, and that same week started pulling herself up around the house.  We had to lower her crib because she could almost climb out of it!  She is always on her tippy toes, and doesn't like to flatten her feet when she stands, so she usually ends up falling over pretty quickly. 

Maya and I were taking a self portrait, and Maya gave me a look like, "what are you doing?".  It cracked me up.

Sorry the picture is so poor, it was on my phone.  Maya finally can fit in some shoes!  Her feet are so narrow that she would slop right out of them.  She spent the majority of the time that night trying to eat her shoes, or pull them off.  She found them very interesting.

She is getting so big!

I let Maya sit in the shopping cart without her carseat for the first time on Friday.  You would have thought she was on a carnival ride.  It was so funny.  She thought it was the coolest thing to be so big.  She turned herself around in circles, and then settled on the side view, with one arm propped up on the cart and the other holding the rail. 

Maya loves that she can pull out her own box of toys.  She crawled in the box, then saw the blocks outside the box and kept trying to get them.  They are too big to pull through the hole, so she then tried to crawl out the hole, sat up and got really frustrated.  She did problem solve her way out of the box, but not without her parents laughing at the fiasco.
